Just days ago I had my worst injury on board ever. Traumatizing really.. A sudden and abrupt bump cause me to fall flat on my face. Yea, face! I wanted to save myself by squatting down but the downward force was so huge I ended up lying down with my shoes flying off and a bunch of very frightened passengers. I saw one of them laughing thou. Bad boy! Aww.. I had a big Boo Boo.. =(
The impact left me with bruises and abrasions on my left cheek bone and eye area. Swollen hip, knee and wrist. Plus, I have difficulty turning my neck and raising my arms. So now I have to walk around with my partial blood shot eye as if I got into a fight or something. How uncool..
Best thing? I took no MC. Cause the very next event coming up after the incident was my SEP (safety training). Something which I can't miss or risk not being able to fly for sometime. This year my SEP includes ditching evacuation practice which involves jumping into the water from the mock plane. Now jumping into water from a certain height and a neck injury wasn't a good combination but I end up one piece and alive somehow. Thank God!
The only thing to worry now is the abrasions on my face. I guess I'll need some really strong concealer to cover up. Doc reckon there won't be scars, it'll just need some time to fully recover. Thank God again!~ There's no way I'm gonna have my face ruin for work.
